Diakhaby works as IOM Goodwill Ambassador

The Valencia CF player offers support in his native Guinea and visits the Spanish embassy in Guinea

Mouctar Diakhaby has been in Guinea recently, in his role as Goodwill Ambassador for the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

The Valencia CF defender welcomed and helped 153 Guinean people who returned from Egypt, and visited the Spanish embassy in Guinea to talk with Ambassador Ángel Carrascal Gutiérrez about collaborative efforts to promote safe and orderly migration.

Diakhaby's commitment to sport and society have made him a benchmark at Valencia CF and internationally - specifically in Guinea. This commitment is also reflected in one of the actions that he carried out together with the VCF Academy players, taking part in the Workshop against Discrimination and Racism of the VCF WORLD-ZERO DISCRIMINATION program.

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM), the main intergovernmental institution in the field of migration, has appointed nine Goodwill Ambassadors, with the purpose of “providing their support to highlight the opportunities that migration presents and the way it helps spread talent around the world.”
